Eight Group joins The Academy of Real Assets to help open doors for the next generation
Partnership will support social mobility and introduce more young people to careers across the built environment
Eight Group is proud to become a member of The Academy of Real Assets, supporting its work to open up career opportunities across real estate and the wider built environment to young people from under-represented backgrounds.
Founded in 2020, The Academy of Real Assets is a social enterprise that connects school-age students with businesses and professionals across the sector. Through events and practical experiences across the UK, it helps young people understand the breadth of careers available to them, including rewarding technical and engineering roles that do not require a university degree.
The partnership closely reflects Eight Group’s belief that better outcomes start with better engineers. We are building an enduring home for the UK’s engineers and want to help more people see technical services as a career where they can learn, progress and build something lasting.
“Our industry is full of brilliant career opportunities, but too many young people simply don’t know they exist. Joining The Academy of Real Assets gives our people the chance to share their experience, open doors and show the next generation what a career in engineering and technical services can offer. If we want to raise standards across our industry for the long term, we need to invest in the people who will shape its future.”

Membership will also create volunteering opportunities for colleagues across Eight Group giving our teams the chance to engage directly with young people and help make the industry more accessible and representative.
Putting people first is central to how Eight Group operates. Alongside investing in technology and supporting our partner firms for the long term, we are committed to developing engineering talent and creating opportunities for people to build rewarding careers across the UK.
